Most of the NF endgame green staffs have the +20 energy and Bohdabi's spire (necro green) has too. There are probably a couple of others too.
I just modded an inscribable gold staff that dropped for me, it only cost 5k for the required mods so that might be a cheaper option rather than buying a green (or spending ages farming one).
I have found that I can take out the first group in one hit with LB rank 4, as for taking out the other groups, I usually dont bother as it's quicker to zone out and back again and keep taking out the first group.

this build works
since I only have nightfall and getting prophecies soon, I got someone to assist me in the trapping, and everything went pretty smooth!
I used echo, natural stride, barbed trap, flame trap, tripwire, trapper's speed, energizing, and quickening zephyr.
hope this helps for nightfall users only...
remember even with that build you can't go alone without dust trap, so pick out a friend and bomb the hell out of them

To be honest, i don't see why +20 energy is needed. I've been doing this for a while with a +15 staff, and never once have I had any energy problems, and I use the traps and skills as quickly as possible.
Also, just as a word of caution, i started at LB 2, and I was able to consistently kill all but 2 or 3. However, once u hit LB 3, you can kill all of first group pretty consistently.

As energy +20 staff I allso recommend the mindclouder, it's just REALLY easy to farm.

Can i just ask why people still bother doing this? Golds drop VERY rarely from these things. Keys don't drop at all. Gold doesn't drop at all (which is good i guess be cause my heros don't get a share). Stygian Gemstones are in a huge excess and almost completely worthless and going far enough to get the greens would take hours.
I just made my own +20e staff from a drop i got from a chest.

I did it primarily to get the 15 gems for future use and in combination with some beserker scrolls it got me enough skill points to unlock all the elites I've been itching to get.
and because I guess I like seeing big numbers on my screen.

It's also a great way to farm LB points.

Well I've farmed the mindclouder (sliver shadow) and it's a really easy one, it took me less than 2 minutes each run and got it after 6 runs.

i think something is wrong, aside from the necros i can ALMOST kill everything to the point where they could just be sneezed on and they would die, anyone else get this problem and how did you fix this?

Did you activate your LB title? The first time I did it I forgot to turn it on, after I did I didn't have any problems.

This build isn't meant to finish the entire Stygian quest and fiends are a PITA to kill.
I believe the OP said to do the first two waves and then forget about the third, zone/map out and redo the first two waves.
If you want a team build that handles the entire quest, there's a three man stygian build posted here somewhere.

I'm killing the first group no problem in one smack. My problem is the second group with the warrior ones in it. When I pull back like, half the group completely ignores my spirit I set and continues chasing me and don't even get hit by any traps. I've tried adjusting where I'm trapping slightly and throwing a Trip Wire in that number 3 circle from the screenshot but since they're not getting hit with Barbed Trap it's not working. Therefore I only make it through the first group and then die to the second because they're not aggroing spirit.

The traps don't trigger because I assume they've been designed to try to optimize mob-killage-ability or whatnot, by waiting until it thinks as many monsters is in that one spot before they go boom. You can see this in the Zaishen area if you choose to solo-trap it. On some maps the trappers will be able to get a trap off if the 4th member of the group is lagging before because your traps are waiting for the 4th before activating.
So to get this second group consistently(key word here), you'd need something besides the 8 skills on your bar.
As for the Bone fiends, I assume if you've already gotten past the second mob by bringing a buddy or hero, you can simply set up spirits about an aggro circle away. Granted with this method you might only be able to trap the fiends and the melee groups seperately, but it seems like a simple way to bypass the problem ranged attacks tend to pose to trappers.
